This presentation assesses the current practices in Healthcare Recruitment, Selection and Development. Through research using Lean Six Sigma and People Sigma we will recommend a New Recruitment Model where technology and financial knowledge are necessary metrics for critical performance (quality care) and financial success. There are gaps where roles require interloping with departments and the technical understanding of health information management. We’ve discovered the Selection process is vetting talent mostly on leadership style, years of experience, education and required certifications. However, often there is little asked or demonstrated by candidates in interviews to provide work product samples to show abilities with reimbursement software, spreadsheets and PM tools to meet bottom-line healthcare business objectives for those in executive Clinical (CNO, CMD, CQO) and executive administrative roles (C-Suite Perspective – CEO’s, CFO’s, CNO’s, CIO’s) in fixing problems to meet standards and CMS-DRG reimbursement reporting standards.
