Building Effective Trust Behaviors
In the Building Effective Trust Behaviors Workshop, participants look at trust from various angles so that they can make a choice of one way they might be more effective in one trust behavior.
First, they will reflect on their current trust behaviors and tendencies and share their expectations on what will be most helpful to their learning. They will then look at how to demonstrate evidence of trust in the categories of monitoring, being benevolent, showing openness and taking risk. They will be asked to look at two sample relationships, one higher in trust and one lower in trust and examine how trust is and is not evidenced. They will determine whether or not they would like to try to alter the trust equation in either relationship or another key relationship.
Participants will also learn about the trust in delegation and how self-trust is a key factor. The impact of environment factors on trust will be discussed. At the end, each participant will identify one area where they will make a change in giving or receiving trust and be asked to commit to working on that change.
